This totally free version of Local Website Archive may no longer be available online. The author's website, where the paid version appears (with a free 30 day trial) is the version supplied on many download sites. Although most browsers can save single web pages, this program does it better - because the archived pages are kept in one location, with categorized folders, along with search-ability and PDF file handling. [An older program - HTTrack - can save complete websites. (But it adds a small text watermark to each .html page, which can be removed with a search and replace of that watermark string,)] You do not need to be a researcher or journalist to make use of this programme - Local Website Archive. Rather, you could be a hobbyist, a 'Do It Yourselfer', or a cook, who wants to refer back to an important bit of information, or you may have found a page with a long article, to be saved for later reading - a step beyond bookmarking. [Dynamic websites, like WordPress and Content Managers, can change content moment to moment].

Figure 3: 30-day count down starts immediately. [The author has made available a free version of the related program - WebSite-Watcher - which notifies you when any monitored web pages are altered. This notification is in the form of highlighted text, or it can be based on key words only.] System requirements: Platform: Windows 10 / 11 and Server 2016+ (64-bit) Version: 26.2.0 Language: English Download Size: ~126 MB Installed Size: ~377 MB Licence: FREE and Paid Rating: Download Sites: from Major Geeks - an older free version download of Local Website Archive Version 20.2 - 4.41 MB |
