"rEASYze" is a rather obtuse name for a program, but there are so many free image resizing options available, choosing a name must have been difficult for the developer, Dan Stromi.
This application is dedicated to image batch resizing, adding text / watermarks, and more.
It is quite safe to use, defaulting to a save location in Pictures, but can easily be changed to any other hard drive location folder. All resized files are given a name extension of "_res", without overwriting original files.
Since I have used up so much of my Gmail account's 15 GB, I find resizing of images that will eventually go to web hosting locations or social media, quite useful.
The downloaded zip file expands into two files: - one is the small executable, and the other is a configuration data file.
Savings includes JPG, PNG, BMP, TIF, and GIF formats.
Text and copyright images (samples supplied) can be placed in any of the four corners, or in the centre, all with adjustable transparency, size and colour.
Several image effects and exposure adjustments, along with rotation, are also available, as is a quick copy, print, view as full size, and a save button.
Resizing is managed in two ways: - with a percentage slider or by direct pixel input.
