Websites often use deceptive patterns to try to get the users to do something that they may or may not be trying to do (often costing them more money, to the advantage of the website owner).
We will be talking about the various methods they may try to accomplish this so we can be more aware of what is going on with your interaction on the site.
We will then talk about how we can resist these practices.
We will talk about the COSTS associated with these issues. We will look at personal costs and corporate costs of these breaches.
We will conclude by talking about "Ethical hacking" and compare that to the negative side of "hacking", looking at some examples showing possible solutions.
