Not getting mugged on the journey to the Cloud

Cloud hosted datacenters, including Microsoft's Azure, Amazon Web Services and others are becoming increasingly common platforms for business. Providing redundancy, flexibility and scalability in a pay-for-use model allows many businesses to provide a level of service that wouldn't be possible in a traditional model. With all the advantages, there are still hazards to avoid.

This session will provide an overview of Oshawa's On-premise infrastructure and how it allows the City to avoid common cloud-centric risks.

Presented by Steve Patterson, Manager, Systems and Security Operations, City of Oshawa.

The Club's General Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at Faith United Church, 1778 Nash Road in Courtice, 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
