What to do with your Old XP Computer
Presented by Alex Morrison and John Sylvestervich.

Now that Windows XP support has ended, come to the meeting and see another option other than upgrading to Window 7 or 8.1.

A new version of Linux, (Zorin 9) has been released that sports not only a standard Linux desktop but also gives you the choice of an XP or Windows 7 look and feel. It also comes with key software which has office compatibility preinstalled.

You can also install existing Microsoft Office Programs using the preinstalled WINE and PlayOn Linux software.

Alex Morrison and John Sylvestervich from the club executive, will demonstrate the above features and show a Video Review of the system.

The Club's General Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at Faith United Church, 1778 Nash Road in Courtice, 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
