DPUC features the first of an Enhancing Windows series. If you have often tried to find a lost file somewhere on your hard drive and found the Windows search function too slow or ineffective, come and see several solutions that may solve this problem for you. Mike Roche, our club secretary, will demonstrate COPERNIC, his search engine of choice, Other local drive search tools such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN will be compared. In addition find out how to build your own PVR ( personal video recorder) using Knoppmyth, a free version of Linux. Club disks, and the KnoppMyth disk and instructions will be available. The Club's General Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at Faith United Church, 1778 Nash Road in Courtice, 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
