Photo Manipulation Software

The topic for the November presentation is Photo Manipulation Software. This will be approached in graduated segments by three of our members.

  • Dan Delong will cover freeware programs, available to anyone, explaining some basic photographic techniques. These include cropping, colour fixing and correcting, as well as an a discussion of various file types and where each would be appropriate to save your pictures.

  • Anne Delong's presentation will feature Photoshop Elements, using some of it's layering techniques, such as adding text to photographs, shaping text, resizing images, and the concept of canvas.

  • Jason Mills will present using Photoshop CS4, and explain some of it's advance features such as layer masks and artistic filters to manipulate your photographs.

This presentation should teach you a lot of application specific knowledge, as well as a general appreciation of what it takes to make your pictures great.

The Club's General Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at Faith United Church, 1778 Nash Road in Courtice, 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
