Say NO to Spam

Tired of all the offers for Viagra, software and stock tips clogging up your inbox? Spam costs you time and money. Sue Sutcliffe, our club presenter for October, shows you why you get spam and how to avoid it. It's like Drano for your inbox!

Speaker Biography:

People call Sue Sutcliffe a web pioneer. She's been managing a successful website design company since 1993. Sue has built more than cutting-edge websites in her decade and a half of entrepreneurship - she's also built solid e-marketing and business expertise that she shares through public speaking and coaching.

"You'll find a webmaster on every corner," Sue says. "They'll build you a website, but will they make it work for you? Just creating a website isn't enough in today's hyper-competitive cyber-society."

Websites are today's prime marketing tool. The best tool is useless, though, if you don't know how to use it. That's why Sue has turned her hand to showing people ways to make their websites work faster, better, cheaper -- and smarter. She designs her presentations to help people navigate the ever-changing waters of business in a technology-based world - and enjoy the journey.

Catchy titles; dynamic content; smiles and laughter: these are hallmarks of a Sue Sutcliffe speaking engagement. 101 Free or Almost Free Ways to Market Yourself Using the Internet has attracted record-breaking attendance. Her Razz-a-ma-Tazz 'Em Tour of avant-garde website designs never fails to "razz-a-ma-tazz 'em." Networking - With a Little Help from my Friends has proven to be a popular draw: Sue most recently delivered it while sharing the podium with the illustrious Dr. Gary Polonsky, founder of University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT).

Whether on the podium or in the classroom, one-on-one or one-on-a-hundred-and-one, Sue inspires, entertains, illuminates, simplifies. She leads by example, sharing practical strategies, common-sense solutions and her warm personality with the business world and her community.

Her business has been honoured with the Durham Home and Small Business Association Outstanding Business of the Year. An additional award, named after founder Betty Penny, was created to recognize her substantial accomplishments over a decade of service. Pioneers explore: Sue Sutcliffe forges ahead in her business, creating paths, finding solutions. She invites you to follow along for an exciting voyage of discovery.

The Club's General Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at Faith United Church, 1778 Nash Road in Courtice, 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.
