How to Secure your PC from Network-Based Attacks

Guest speaker Louis Bertrand, a local UNIX and networking consultant, will demonstrate How to Secure your PC from Network-Based Attacks.

Bertrand will explain various possible forms of attacks, and practical countermeasures, including the use of the world's most secure operating system. He will also help our Users to assess their own exposure to risks. As there is a lot of "scary stuff" out there, the more we know about it, the better it is for us all!

Mr. Bertrand, (a fellow Member of the Durham PC Users' Club) is a freelance programmer & networking consultant based in Bowmanville Ontario. He is a volunteer on the OpenBSD project and also teaches part-time at Durham College.
